  • Yu-jing Li is currently a Ph.D. student at Peking University, dedicated to the fields of rheumatology and immunology. Her research primarily focuses on the pathogenesis and progression of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and the exploration of novel therapeutic targets. She served as a co-first author for a study published in Cell Research (2025), which investigated the tolerability and efficacy of fourth-generation CAR T-cell therapy in patients with treatment-resistant RA. In addition to clinical research, Li is engaged in mechanistic studies, specifically investigating the role of one-carbon metabolic enzyme MTHFD2 in metabolic reprogramming. Her work suggests that MTHFD2 contributes to osteoclastogenesis and bone loss in RA by influencing oxidative phosphorylation, findings she has shared at academic conferences such as the APLAR and EULAR Congress. Through these diverse projects, Li continues to refine her skills as a researcher while contributing to the understanding of complex immunological conditions.
