  • I am Surendar, a dedicated medical professional currently undergoing my Compulsory Rotatory Internship at ACS Medical College and Hospital in Chennai. My ultimate career objective is to become a pioneering surgeon, a goal I plan to achieve by seamlessly combining clinical excellence with a continuous, active involvement in medical research.
Throughout my medical education, I have maintained a rigorous standard of academic consistency, securing distinction marks across my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd MBBS professional examinations. My commitment to advancing medical science was recognized early on when I was honored with the Young Researcher Award.
I am deeply passionate about clinical and translational research, surgical sciences, and evidence-based medicine. This passion has translated into tangible academic outputs, including a Scopus-indexed article in the International Journal of Applied Pharmaceutical Research and Development (IAPRD) and a Quality Improvement paper published at the IAPRD 2025 conference. I also thrive on engaging with the broader medical community and have presented my findings at several prominent conferences, including ICDM 2024, ETHOS 6.0, APCMS 2025, and The Liver Week 2025.
What uniquely shapes my approach to medicine—and my specific aspiration for surgery—is how I challenge my mind outside the clinic. Alongside my active participation in medical quizzes and academic writing, I am an avid speed cuber and a blindfold Rubik’s Cube solver. Mastering a blindfold solve requires intense working memory, precise spatial awareness, and rapid execution under pressure. These cognitive hobbies refine the exact traits I rely on in medicine: exceptional manual dexterity, analytical focus, and the ability to visualize complex, 3D problems instantly.
Whether I am synthesizing complex public health data, writing scientific literature, or visualizing a cube's algorithm in the dark, I bring a unique blend of intellectual curiosity, steady hands, and meticulous problem-solving to my work. I am eager to carry this multifaceted discipline forward into a rigorous and impactful surgical career.
